Perlmutter Votes to Rebuild Economy, Keep Communities Safe

7th CD Priorities Included in 2010 Appropriations Act

Washington DC - Today the House passed and Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) supported the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2010. Included within the bill are nine Colorado projects totaling just over $100 million.

“I am proud to see the House approved these nine projects which benefit 7th Congressional District, the state of Colorado and the nation in various ways. Keeping our communities safe, conducting pioneering medical research, assisting homeless veterans, and easing our transportation woes are all goals I continue to pursue in Congress,” stated Perlmutter.

Commerce, Justice, and Science:
$300,000 for Jefferson County Meth Response Collaborative

Financial Services and General Government:
$300,000 for Fitzsimons Redevelopment Authorities Colorado Drug Device Diagnostic Institute

Labor, Health and Human Services and Education:
$225,000 for Children’s Hospital facilities and equipment
$1,500,000 for University of Colorado’s Linda Crnic Institute on Down Syndrome

Military Construction and Veterans Affairs:
$4,500,000 for Buckley AFB’s Weapons Release Complex

Transportation and HUD:
$90,000,000 million for RTD’s FasTracks West Corridor
$850,000 for Interstate 225-Colfax interchange reconfiguration
$2,641,500 for Colorado Associations of Transit Agencies
$487,000 for Jefferson County homeless veterans program
