Burglar Captured in Commerce City

During the past few weeks the local businesses in the12000 block of 104th Avenue have been victimized by a late night burglar. A Lutheran Church and liquor store were broken into and a television set was taken.

Fortunately the police were able to get a surveillance picture of the suspect’s vehicle a 1995 Honda station wagon black in color. Patrol officers from the Commerce City Police Department actively went in search of the vehicle. They located the vehicle early this morning parked at a residence in the Eagle Creek subdivision. They contacted the vehicle owner Curtis Cabrera (05/27/71) who when confronted with the evidence admitted to being involved in the burglaries.

Curtis Cabrera was arrested and transported to the Adams County Detention Facility on charges for Second Degree Burglary.
