Commerce City passport offices will be open Saturday, March 27

COMMERCE CITY – With summer vacation right around the corner, now is the time to apply for a passport and start making travel plans abroad. The City of Commerce City is participating in “Passport Day in the USA” and will be accepting passport applications Saturday, March 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.


U.S. citizens without a valid passport or plans to travel abroad soon are encouraged to apply. Routine applications will be processed in approximately four to six weeks and expedited passports will be processed in approximately two to three weeks (additional fees apply).

Application fees
Adults (16 years of age and above): $75 application fee
Children (Under 16 years of age): $60 application fee
Payment: Check or money order made payable to Passport Services. Credit cards are not accepted.

Processing fees
Processing fee: $25 per application (adults and children)
Passport photos: $10 each (optional)
Payment: Cash, check or money order made payable to Commerce City. Credit cards are not accepted.

Passport Day in the USA is a U.S. Department of State national passport acceptance and outreach event. In 2009, more than 57,000 passport applications were accepted at passport agencies and 2,000 passport acceptance facilities.
