Community invited to review Draft Transportation Plan at upcoming open house

COMMERCE CITY – City residents, business owners, City Council and staff will come together for one final public meeting before the city’s Draft Transportation Plan is adopted. The plan will be available for review and comment during an open house on March 24 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Commerce City Civic Center atrium.


The Transportation Plan is one element of the city’s “C3 Vision Comprehensive Plan” that will act as Commerce City’s planning blueprint for the next 25 years.

Key elements of the Transportation Plan include sustainability and finding the balance between pedestrian, bicycle, transit, and vehicle travel. Proposed future roadway networks, proposed trail and path system, and proposed future bus routes and rail service are all components of the plan. Draft priorities and costs for implementation are also included.
