Gallons and gallons of raw sewage & waste water heading toward farmers' fields

Public health officials say the roughly million gallon spill of raw sewage and waste water caused by a failed DIA pump station is serious, but do not pose widespread health risks.

So far, there is no contamination beyond airport property, but is nearing the Adams County line. DIA is setting up dirt blockages at the edge of their property to prevent any residual contamination that could result from this weekend's potential snow or rain.

Tri-County Health Department is carefully monitoring the situation. Further details will be released if situation changes.
