Secretary of State Bernie Buescher returns over $1.5 million to Coloradans

Secretary of State Bernie Buescher will soon repay Coloradans over 1.5 million dollars.

Over 40,000 individuals and businesses deposited funds with the Department of State or overpaid their filing fees between 1997 and 2004. Buescher has made returning these funds a priority.

Bernie Buescher believes that fair dealing is the way to run a government agency.

He worked with the Colorado Legislature and had bi-partisan support for Senate Bill 143. This bill, allows him to do what no previous Secretary of State has done -- return this money to its rightful owners.

This is one way that Secretary Buescher has worked to make the Secretary of State's office more efficient and fair when representing the citizens and businesspeople of Colorado.

Bernie Buescher is continuing to bring transparency, efficiency and fairness to the Secretary of State's office. Let's make sure we keep it this way, by supporting Bernie Buescher in his election bid.

Sincerely,

Eleni Albrechta, Bernie Buescher for Secretary of State
