City of Brighton releases statement regarding the passing of Judge Glasgow

The city of Brighton is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Municipal Judge Barry Glasgow on Sunday, July 4. He was an outstanding person and will truly be missed. Our thoughts are with his family during this difficult time.

Glasgow served as the Municipal Judge since December 2008 after serving as the associate municipal judge since April 2001.

On Tuesday, July 6, during their regular meeting, the City Council passed a resolution appointing Associate Municipal Judge Kristin Brown as the interim judge through Dec. 31, 2010 or until such time as a permanent presiding municipal judge is appointed. Brown has been an associate municipal judge for the city of Brighton since Oct. 26, 2009.

In addition, the City Council requested flags at all city buildings be flown at half-staff on Thursday, July 8.
