Wellness fair offers free health screenings for older adults

COMMERCE CITY – Eating healthy and getting regular exercise are important factors in maintaining our well-being, especially as we age.
The Commerce City Recreation Center is sponsoring a free wellness fair to help make staying healthy easier. Adults 50 and older are invited to participate in the first annual Health 101: Older Adult Wellness Fair, 8 a.m.-noon on Thursday, July 22.

Time: 8 a.m.-noon
Where: Commerce City Recreation Center

Participants will receive free health screenings, massages and educational demonstrations from professional organizations such as the American Diabetes Association, Silver Sneakers and AARP.

Did you ever wonder how much fat was in that hamburger you had for lunch? You will find that and additional information at this event. You can also get free blood pressure and equilibrium screenings, strength tests, free product samples and other giveaways.
