Commerce City dedicates ball field to community member

COMMERCE CITY – Mayor Paul Natale unveiled the scoreboard for the newly named “Chuck Ingram Field” Saturday at Pioneer Park to the cheers of surrounding children, parents and softball players.

The field was dedicated to longtime Commerce City resident Chuck Ingram, for his 30-plus years volunteering in community youth sports programs. Ingram has served as coach, game official and more over the decades, including 19-plus years as board president of the CCYA youth sports program.

Chuck Ingram Field is the fourth baseball/softball field at Pioneer Park, Commerce City’s flagship park. Other fields are named for Tim Moore, Dave Rolla and Leonard Capra.
