On August 12, 2010 at 4:58 a.m., the Commerce City Police Department responded to the 9700 block of Tower Road reference a roll-over accident.A white Monte Carlo was travelling northbound on Tower Road when, according to witnesses, the driver swerved to miss some debris in the roadway.
The 21-year-old female driver was ejected from the vehicle and died on the scene; she was not wearing a seatbelt. A 2-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle, and he was strapped into a car seat. The 2-year-old was transported to Children’s Hospital with minor injuries. Drugs or alcohol are not suspected to be involved in this incident.
The names of the occupants are not being released at this time, pending notification next of kin.
