New Principal for Overland Trail Middle 27J School

School District 27J announces the appointment of Eric Lambright to the principal position at Overland Trail Middle School in Brighton, effective October 4.

Mr. Lambright has many years’ experience in 27J. He is currently an assistant principal at Brighton High School. Previous to holding that position, he was assistant principal at Vikan Middle School, and also a teacher in the district.

Mr. Lambright is originally from Indiana, and taught in the Fort Wayne school district. In addition, he and his family returned to Indiana for a year (2008-2009 school year) where Mr. Lambright was principal of Northwood Middle School in Fort Wayne.

Mr. Lambright has a BA in secondary education-social studies from Purdue, and an MA in educational administration from the University of Indiana-Purdue at Fort Wayne.

Dr. Rod Blunck, superintendent of schools in 27J, commented on Mr. Lambright’s appointment:

“Eric Lambright has a history in 27J that is indicative of his commitment to our school district and to our community. I look forward to his leading Overland Trail Middle School for many years and I have every confidence that under his leadership the school will thrive, to the benefit of students and the Overland Trail Middle School community.”
