Amazing Race Article

It’s a family friendly team event; a race around town to discover Brighton’s cultural heritage; a fundraiser to provide glasses for students who cannot afford them. The Brighton Breakfast Lions Club and Brighton High School DECA are sponsoring The Second Annual Incredibly Amazing Race Brighton on Saturday, October 30 beginning at 9:00 am. Teams of up to eight participants of all ages will gather in front of Brighton High School and then travel to seven locations around town. At each site teams will complete a task such as answering a question about Brighton’s history, playing Frisbee golf, picking up rice with chopsticks, and translating a Braille passage. The first two teams that have successfully completed all their tasks and returned to the Brighton High School football field will win the Incredibly Amazing Race and receive prizes. Entry fee is $50.00 per team. All proceeds from the Race will be used to provide eye exams and glasses for those students in School District 27J who cannot afford them. For additional information and to register, please, call Joan Kniss at 303-659-2196 or email joankniss@aol.com Families, clubs, businesses, church groups are encouraged to gather a team and sign up for this friendly competition around Brighton.
