November/December Programs at Anythink Commerce City

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. –Nov. 17, 2010–The newly renovated Anythink Commerce City is now open. Reacquaint yourself with your local Anythink during November and December when we have great programs for all ages. Wednesday, Dec. 1, we’ll kick off the Food from the Heart food drive, so please bring your non-perishable items in December to be distributed to local families in Adams County .

Drop-In Crafts
Wednesday, Nov. 24, 11:30 am-1:30 pm
Drop on in and make a craft with your family and friends. Paper, pens and glitter glue fun for all ages.

Wii Resort Competition
Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2-4 pm
Compete Wii style and work off some of those holiday calories. All ages are welcome.

Drop-In Story Time
Wednesdays, Nov. 24 and Dec. 1, 15, and 22, 10:30 am
We will be hosting a drop-in story time for children to break up the monotony of the holiday rush. Spend some time reading with your children before life takes over. Appropriate for ages 6 and under.

Holiday Crafts
Saturday, Nov. 27, 1-3 pm
Start getting into the holiday spirit with some crafty creations, made with glue and love. All ages welcome.

Gifts from the Heart
Saturday, Dec. 18, 1-3 pm
Have a merry time decorating your own wrapping paper and making paper gift ornaments filled with candy and little toys. You’ll also get to decorate cookies and cupcakes to enjoy with warm apple cider. Remember to bring a non-perishable food item for our Food from the Heart food drive. All donations go to Adams County Food Distribution for distribution to local families.

Paper Airplanes
Monday, Dec. 20, 1-3 pm
Fold your way into the future with paper airplanes. Avoid the hectic holidays and stop in for some aerodynamic fun. All ages are welcome.

Snowflakes
Tuesday, Dec. 21, 1-3 pm
Snowflakes come in all shapes and sizes, and here is your opportunity to explore them all. Make decorative snowflakes to take home for the holidays. All ages are welcome.

Wii Rock Band Competition
Wednesday, Dec. 22, 1-3 pm
Visit the library and hone your rock instincts with some good old-fashioned competition. Open to everyone who wants to rock.

Holiday Movie Fest
Thursday, Dec. 23, 1-3 pm
Anythink Commerce City will be playing holiday movies all throughout the library. If you want to get into the spirit of the season, Hollywood style, come on in. All ages are welcome.

Bored Board Games
Tuesday, Dec. 28, 1-3 pm
Bored? Had enough of the holidays? We are having a Bored Board Game day for all ages that you can enjoy. Bring in the family and takeover Candyland or any of the assorted games that will be scattered throughout the library.

Craft Closet Cleanout
Wednesday, Dec. 29 and Thursday, Dec. 30, 1-3 pm
Like the turkey in the refrigerator, all those leftover crafts have to go. Help us clean out the craft closet by coming in and making something wonderful. All ages are welcome.
