Due to the recent freezing temperatures, the closure of the paved pedestrian and bicycle trail along the Fulton Ditch, from Egbert Street to Weld County Road 2, scheduled to be complete by the end of this week, must be extended until further notice. The low temperatures continue to cause delays in cleaning the ditch. This is a routine cleaning, done every two to three years to remove silt, debris and trees. It is conducted by the Fulton Ditch Company and city of Brighton staff. Due to the use of large machinery, and in order to keep users of the trail safe, the trail must be closed during this time.

Fulton Ditch trail maintenance continues until further notice
