Gateway News Survey Results: Number of Adams County Commissioners

The Gateway News asked: Adams County currently has 3 elected commissioners, should it be increased to 5 elected commissioners?

The results concluded with 2,134 responses. The increase to 5 elected commissioners came out on top by a vote of 58% wanting the increase. Only 42% wanted the Adams County commissioners to stay at the current 3. Many included comments that going to 5 commissioners would make the county government more efficient and balanced.

A number of individuals thought this survey was going to be overwhelmingly in support for changing to 5 elected commissioners. With only 58% in favor of going to 5 commissioners, it is a win but not by much.
