Health screenings, fitness demonstrations offered at Belle Creek Fair

COMMERCE CITY – If getting fit and living healthier is on your to-do list, visit the Belle Creek Health and Fitness Fair on Saturday, Feb. 26 to help meet your goals.

This free event, sponsored by Commerce City Parks and Recreation, is open to all city residents. The health and fitness fair will be held from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the Belle Creek Family Center, 10693 Belle Creek Blvd., near Highway 85 and 104th Avenue.

Health professionals will offer free blood-pressure screenings and vision tests as well as provide information on a variety of services, including massage therapy and chiropractic needs. Participants can get a free chair massage, try healthy snacks and learn about the benefits of different vitamins and foods.

Certified personal trainers and fitness instructors from the Commerce City Recreation Center will be available to measure participants’ Body Mass Index (BMII) and discuss fitness goals.

The Belle Creek Family Center hosts a variety of fitness classes that are developed and run by instructors from the Commerce City Recreation Center. The fair will highlight some of the offerings through instructor-led demonstrations of Boot Camp and Zumba classes.
