Brighton City Council hosts ward barbecues

The Brighton City Council will host barbecues for each neighborhood ward beginning this month. Residents are encouraged to attend their specific ward barbecue to meet City Council members, share any questions or concerns, and receive information on projects taking place in their neighborhood and throughout the city. In addition, city departments and community groups will be present to provide information on local projects.

Barbecues will take place:

Ward 1 – Thursday, July 14 at 6 p.m., Farmer’s Park, 320 Chapel Hills Drive Council Members Chris Maslanik and Terry Moore

Ward 2 – Thursday, July 21 at 6 p.m., Midland Park (at Recreation Center), 901 Midland Street Council Members Cynthia Martinez and Rex Bell

Ward 3 – Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m., Ken Mitchell Park, 889 Kinglet Court Council Members Wayne Scott and Rob Farina

Ward 4 – Thursday, Aug. 4 at 6 p.m., Benedict Park, 1855 Southern Street Council Members Daryl Meyers and Wilma Rose

This is a free, fun and informative event. Residents can view ward maps at http://www.brightonco.gov/egov/docs/1296678543_820739.pdf to see which ward they live in.
