Brighton: Tuesday evening storm leaves trees and branches down

A heavy storm passed through Brighton last night knocking down several trees and branches and leaving some residents without power. No injuries have been reported. The City is currently in the process of removing all trees and branches from the roadway and anticipates having debris cleaned up by this afternoon.

The City encourages residents to take any broken trees or branches left in their yard to the Wastewater Treatment Plant at 325 North Kuner Road , near Brighton Street , between 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday – Friday, or 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday. Please contact 303-655-2054 to schedule a drop-off time. Elderly and handicapped residents may call 303-655-2034 for assistance with removal.

Any traffic signal outages should be reported to the Streets Department at 303-655-2034.
