Commerce City businesses are appreciated

Each year, the Business and Investor Appreciation event provides the opportunity for the city to say thank you to businesses, property owners and other organizations for their investment in Commerce City.

This year’s event will be a breakfast held at the Civic Center. All Commerce City businesses are invited and encouraged to attend.

The event not only provides the opportunity to say thank you, it also provides the opportunity to recognize specific businesses for their success and contributions to the community. Nominations are now being accepted for the following awards:

C3ED Business of the Year Award –
This award recognizes a business that has achieved its objectives while implementing innovative growth strategies and improving the quantity or quality of services available to its customers.

C3ED Commerce City Company “On the Move” –
Companies that are on the move are expanding, experiencing high levels of growth, hiring employees, moving into Commerce City with significant employment or capital investment or directly meet a community need. In short, these companies are contributing in a positive way to Commerce City’s economy.

C3ED Entrepreneurial Spirit Award –
Successful entrepreneurs are the first step in the ladder to build a successful economy. This award recognizes an entrepreneur’s ability to take risks, persevere in the face of adversity and obstacles, and take a business vision to a business reality.

Pam Downs Lilac Award –
This special award recognizes a business professional, business employee(s), corporation, business, company or sole proprietor that has invested time and resources to build a “Quality Community” in Commerce City,

Award nominations must be received by Friday, August 19, 2011 to be considered.
