The Guardhouse at Rocky Mountain Arsenal has been Demolished
Better known as the South Gate Guardhouse or Building 145 has served the Arsenal for over 50 years. This iconic checkpoint was first built in 1959. It served as a checkpoint til the very end.
Today, entrance to the Rocky Mountain Arsenal can be reached via Prairie Parkway. The new Visitor Center is just inside the Refuge entrance at 6550 Gateway Road.
