RAPIDS 2011 CHARITY CLASSIC GOLF TOURNAMENT TEES OFF MONDAY IN PARKER

The Colorado Rapids will hold the club’s second annual Charity Classic, a golf tournament featuring Rapids players and coaches, this Monday, August 1 at The Club at Pradera in Parker, Colo. The scramble-style tournament starts at 1:30 p.m. and is open to individual players and foursomes, with all proceeds from the event benefiting Kroenke Sports Charities.

All proceeds of the event will benefit Kroenke Sports Charities. KSC supports underserved children and families in Colorado through educational and recreational programs, as well as appearances and sports clinics by players and coaches, donations of autographed merchandise and tickets, and the gift of services by Kroenke Sports and Entertainment employees.

The Rapids are coming off a 2-1 victory at Philadelphia Union on Friday night, and return to Dick’s Sporting Goods Park next Friday, August 5, to host the Columbus Crew. Tickets are still available, and can be purchased by calling 303-825-GOAL or visiting www.ColoradoRapids.com.
