Dumb Friends League Blessing of the Animals

Regardless of your religious affiliations or philosophy, the Dumb Friends League invites you to join in the celebration of all creatures—great and small.

In conjunction with the traditional feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the League is holding a Blessing of the Animals on Tuesday, Oct. 4, from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Bring your four-legged friends to the Dumb Friends League, 2080 S. Quebec St., where a brief ceremony will be held in the Sheilagh R. Malo Pet Memorial Garden. Admission is free, and refreshments and snacks will be served following the ceremony.
