"GIVING THANKS TO A CAREGIVER" FOOD DRIVE {SOUTH ADAMS COUNTY FIRE STATION #4}

It's that time of the year again where we start to think about special things for the holidays. For A Caretaker's Wish it's the time we start to think about what we can do for Caregivers in the community. Those in Caregiving situations often dread this time of year mainly because there is only one income in the family. The "Giving Thanks to a Caregiver" program has been implemented to show Caregivers we are grateful for their everyday service to care for others who otherwise could not care for themselves. As our way to show appreciation to our Caregivers, A Caretaker's Wish is collecting food donations to provide Thanksgiving meals for as many Caregivers and their families as possible. Thanksgiving Food boxes will be delivered to families between November 21-23.

On Saturday, November 19, 2011 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. we will be accepting food donations for the following items.

1. Turkeys or Hams-Please provide grocery gift cards for turkeys or hams as we do not have the storage for those frozen items. Turkeys or Hams will be purchased and delivered to families November 21-23.
2. Canned Vegetables & Canned fruits.
3. Fresh Potatoes & Sweet Potatoes-Instant Potatoes
4. Bread or Rolls
5. Gravy mixes, salt, pepper, seasoings
6. Stuffing-Instant
7. We can take frozen Pumpkin Pies, Marshmallows
8. We can take cold butter and Cool Whip
9. Coffee instant and ground cream, sugar, brown sugar
10. Cranberry Juice and canned Cranberries
11. Beverages
