Perlmutter Honors Greatest Generation on 70th Anniversary of Attack on Pearl Harbor

"I am inspired by the service, sacrifice and patriotism by [the Greatest Generation] because they remind us we are all in this together as Americans, and when we are united we can accomplish great things."

Washington, DC - Today, U.S. Rep. Ed Perlmutter (CO-07) released the following statement in recognition of the 70th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor :

"Seventy years ago today America suffered a major attack on our soil resulting in a tremendous loss of life and our involvement in World War II. As a nation we became more galvanized in our resolve against aggression not more divided. Today is a time to honor and remember those veterans we lost and thank those who remain for their service. We can learn so much from the experiences of the Greatest Generation. I am inspired by the service, sacrifice and patriotism by those who served in World War II because they remind us we are all in this together as Americans, and when we are united we can accomplish great things. This is a day to redouble our efforts and fulfill the promise to take care of all our veterans when they return home."
