Stout Street Foundation gets Commerce City Council Approval

The Commerce City council approved a Conditional Use Permit to the Stout Street Foundation to continue operation of a drug and alcohol rehabilitation center.

The Stout Street Foundation, located at 7251 and 7201 East 49th Avenue in Commerce City was granted a use-by-permit for this operation in 2003 and it was renewed in 2006 with the condition that the permit would expire and require renewal in 2011. The City’s Land Development Code now requires a Conditional Use Permit for this use, rather than a use-by-permit. At this time, no significant changes to the site or facility operations are proposed.

On November 2, 2011, the Commerce City Planning Commission held a public hearing, took testimony, and voted (5-0) to forward the request to City Council with a favorable recommendation.
