LemonAID, Kids Helping Kids for a better tomorrow

What is it?
From August 23 through September 20, 2009, kids in Commerce City will be selling lemonade, snacks, and other beverages to raise funds for the Adams 14 Education Fund. The Adams 14 Education Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization created in 1999 to enhance the quality of education in Adams County School District 14 by raising and distributing money to support literacy, student achievement and expanded learning opportunities for all students.

Who can participate?
Anyone.
What’s involved?
Kids will be asked to set-up lemonade stands and sell drinks and other goodies to raise funds for those children in our community who are less fortunate. This is a kid-driven event. We ask that parents provide the lemonade and other goodies that their kids will be selling. Kids are welcome to run their lemonade stands when and wherever they would like. On or before September 20th, participating kids will drop off the proceeds they raised at either the 9AM or 10:45AM services at Crossroads Community Church or to Colby Trull at 9874 Quintero Street, Commerce City, CO 80022. The proceeds will be combined with matching funds generously donated by individuals and corporate sponsors. Participating kids will then present a check for all proceeds raised to the Adams 14 Education Fund later in September.
