The city of Brighton Office of Emergency Management, through the Colorado Citizen Corps North Central Region Homeland Security Grant Funding, will offer a severe weather safety class from 6:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, April 29, at the Police Department Training Room, 3401 E. Bromley Lane. This free class will discuss Colorado weather, weather hazards and safety tips on tornadoes, flooding, lightning, hail and damaging wind. In addition, participants will learn how to access forecasts and weather watches, warnings and advisories.
