19 Year-Old Killed on US Higway 85

A fatal car accident in Weld County closed US Highway 85 for several hours. 19 year-old Madison Middleton was killed as her '09 Hyundai Accent crossed over to on coming traffic and struck a water tanker truck. Middleton had her car catch on fire and was killed at the scene. The water tanker driver, 45 year-old Frankie King was not injured in the accident. Middleton was reportedly on her way to meet her mother for a Christmas baking party. Colorado State troopers are continuing to investigate the accident.
