Brighton High School student missing returns Home

UPDATE:  Kelley Carpenter is back with her family after running away for 12 days. Reported, Kelley Carpenter said the “really awesome people” she stayed with should not be blamed.

“I had a really great time, but I regret getting so many people involved – in such a negative way, too,” she said. “I loved it, and I was happy, and it was just sort of freeing to be out of this town.”

A Brighton High School student named Kelley Carpenter without parental permission, left her house to attend a concert in Fort Collins and is now missing.

Carpenter attended a concert at the Aggie Theater on Jan. 14th with a group of friends. Reported, after the concert Carpenter left with a 20-year-old white male with a Mohawk who was driving a green Subaru covered in bumper stickers.

On Sunday, Carpenter texted her parents saying she would be home on Monday. No further communication has happened.

Leeann Carpenter, the mother said Kelley took along a backpack but left her wallet and medication. Reported Carpenter has a adrenal insufficiency, resulting in her body not responding well under stress.

Carpenter has black hair and blue eyes. She stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs between 120 to 125 pounds.
