Prairie Playhouse presents Roald Dahl’s Willy Wonka

Brighton, Colo., February 2, 2011 -- Prairie Playhouse, a local family theater, kicks off its winter performance on Friday, February 18 with the stage adaptation of Roald Dahl’s Charlie and Chocolate Factory, Willy Wonka. The world famous candy man is looking to retire and is on a quest to find an heir. He holds a contest where five lucky people who find Golden Tickets inside Wonka chocolate bars win a tour of his chocolate factory.
Follow Willy Wonka and his Oompa Loompas as they lead Charlie Bucket along with four other Golden Ticket winners with their chaperones on a tour of the candy maker’s whimsical factory. Musical features some all-time favorite songs like “The Candy Man”, “I’ve Got a Golden Ticket”, and “Pure Imagination”.

The show stars an all-ages cast and is produced, directed and choreographed by Shauna Marble with musical direction by Don Dupree. For more details, see www.prairieplayhouse.com
