Brighton Senior Center closed for two weeks beginning Dec. 30 to prepare for move to new facility

The Brighton Senior Center will be closed for two weeks beginning Friday, Dec. 30 to allow for its move to the Eagle View Adult Center, the new senior center facility located at 1150 Prairie Center Parkway.

All programs sponsored by the center will be canceled Jan. 2 – Jan. 13 to allow staff and volunteers time to move out of the old center and transition to the new center.

Eagle View will officially open its doors on Tuesday, Jan. 17 with registration for February classes beginning Jan. 24 and registration for February trips starting on Jan. 26.

A grand opening celebration for Eagle View will be held at 1:30 p.m. Feb. 3, followed by a community open house from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 4.

Ground breaking for Eagle View Adult Center began May 10. The new facility will double the size of the current Brighton Senior Center and will enable the programs and services to expand and grow over time. The new facility will serve the adult population with a target audience being those ages 55 and older. The secondary target for programs will be those adults 40 and older.

The center is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday. For questions concerning the closure or the new facility, please contact the Senior Center at 303-655-2075.
