After just two short years Landmark Academy has shown tremendous growth in many areas of the CSAP test. Students in Landmark’s fifth grade outscored the state and district in science, an area of focus for our fifth grade science teacher.
Landmark is very proud of her efforts as well as those of her students last year. The sixth graders were new to Landmark this past year and those students outscored the district and state in several areas. The writing scores were the most impressive where sixth graders scored over 80% proficient and above. One hundred percent of sixth graders scored partially proficient and above in writing and reading. Like every school, Landmark does have areas that we wish to improve upon and our goal is to see even more growth with next year’s scores.
The CSAP has been a tool for our school to monitor growth and look for areas of weakness and strength. Landmark students are goal oriented and enjoy monitoring testing progress and looking for areas of growth. We look forward to a rewarding year of student growth and teacher reflection.
